Florida is a peninsula surrounded on three sides by water, our weather is warm and sunny so it only makes sense that we enjoy our boats all year round and Christmas is no different. When were done decking our halls we head straight out to our docks and deck our decks, hulls and string those masts with lights. Once they are twinkling from bow to stern we wait for Santa. But before he gets here we take our boats and show them off, boats parades take place all over Florida and are a great way for the whole family to get into the holiday spirit. Here’s our list of upcoming boat parades, find one in your area to enjoy.

It’s the Christmas season again and here in Florida Santa does things a little differently, instead of a using a sleigh, Santa takes to the waters and arrives by boat. And it’s no wonder with all the boat parades going on they are ‘decked’ out in their holiday best everything from traditional lights and greenery to off beat themed decorations. If you’d like to see the parades for yourself or with your family they can be viewed from shore, on bridges, or from other boats in the water. We have a list of some upcoming boat parades you can check out this year.

One of the favorites is Oktoberfest, Florida loves Oktoberfest as much as Florida loves beer and great German food. Floridians also love a party and there are many taking place, besides the oompah version of “Margaritaville” is not to be missed.

Stuart, FL – Stuart is home to one of the most remarkable beaches in Florida, aptly named Bathtub Reef Park. The reef itself is about 40 yards offshore and is partially exposed during low tide. The reef protects the shoreline from breaking waves and is a great place for small children to swim and feel comfortable.

Jensen Beach, FL – Mulligan’s Beach House Bar and Grill is another great Florida restaurant located in Downtown Jensen Beach and across from the Intracoastal Waterway. Downtown Jensen is a great place to spend the day with shops, restaurants and night clubs just north of Stuart.
We shared the O’Mully Mahi Reuben sandwich and Fresh Catch Quesadilla again with Mahi Mahi. I ordered the Mahi Reuben without Thousand Island dressing as I have this thing about mayo and the like. They both were great and served with rice and french fries.
Mulligan’s Beach House has a full liquor bar and had a pretty good crowd the Saturday afternoon we visited. They feature live music on weekend nights and have plenty of seating.
Mulligan’s Beach House Bar and Grill is located at 2019 Jensen Beach Boulevard in Jensen Beach, FL.
