Florida is surrounded by water and what better place to see the ocean than by visiting one of many Florida Piers. Piers are a gathering spot for sealife, wildlife and people. Piers offer not only great fishing, many feature fine dining and live music as well a great place to enjoy a cocktail. On a pier, you can experience the water without getting on a boat.

If boating or just being around boats is your thing, Florida Inlets & Passes are places where the ocean meets inland waters. Sometimes known as ports and bays, activities at inlets can be as simple as fishing, bicycle riding or strolling along watching diverse wildlife. Many ports are home to major international cruise terminals with dining and entertainment establishments for passengers and visitors alike.
Speaking of cruising, Check out all of the Florida Cruise Ports which offer cruises to the Caribbean and beyond. Also, Port Canaveral Cruise Ships features profiles and specifications of ships sailing from the Central Florida port. If you’re looking a cruise to nowhere, see Place to Gamble in Florida for a complete list of ships.

No matter how you choose to celebrate the arrival of 2010, here are some suggestions of places to go and things to do in Florida for New Year’s Eve.

When we deck our halls for Christmas, we include our boats as well with twinkling lights far up the masts and from bow to stern. After they are all decorated we show them in parades which are a great way to get the whole family in the holiday spirit. Here is a list of upcoming boat parades, look for one near you.
