Pictures of Space Shuttle Discovery Leaving Kennedy Space Center for Last Time

Kennedy Space Center, FL – The Space Coast said good bye to one of our most famous residence, Space Shuttle Discovery, on Tuesday, April 17. Discovery was flown over head along the Space Coast one final time. Discovery took off from the runway at KSC at first light, around 7 am, and then the orbiter and Shuttle Carrier Aircraft flew over Kennedy Space Center and the KSC Visitor Complex, headed south to around Patrick AFB then turned around and flew back up the coast along Cocoa Beach & Cape Canaveral and then fly out for D.C. Even though the shuttles are scheduled to flew out there will still be rocket launches to enjoy, for a complete list and schedule visit our Cape Canaveral Launch Schedule.

Daytona Beach, FL – Biketoberfest 2010 has come and gone and once again this year it was a blast. The Dog House was, as always, a happening place with girls dancing all over their bars. The Full Moon was chalk full of people listening to live music, Dirty Harry’s had girls, girls, girls in booths and on stage in wet t-shirt contests all weekend. Main Street was, as always, the place to see and be seen. The International Speedway also had many things going on, and many bike to see as well and Daytona Beach, the happy host city, welcomed all.

Navarre Beach, FL – Construction on the new 1,545-foot fishing pier on Navarre Beach, the longest in the state, is essentially complete and a grand opening celebration has been scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday. Afterward, Santa Rosa County will suspend admission fees to the pier for the weekend to allow the public to walk along or fish from the new pier for free. The newest Florida pier will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. It will normally cost $1 a day to walk on the pier, and adults will pay $7 a day to fish; weekly and annual passes are available.

Bike Week 2010 Photos

Bike Week Girl

Daytona Beach, FL – Bike Week 2010 is now over and done; despite the unseasonably cold and somewhat rainy weather bikers turned out in droves again this year. The Dog House, always a favorite, once again had girls dancing on their bars warming the chilly crowd and encouraging patrons to drink and enjoy. The Full moon was rocking with live music and Dirty Harry’s had their scantily beer booth girls and traditional wet t-shirt contests. Needless to say Main Street was buzzing all week long with street vendors selling leathers, bike accessories, t-shirts and anything else you can think of. The people watching was fascinating and the bikes, as always, were spectacular.
