2010 ICE! Attraction Returns to Gaylord Palms
2011 ICE! at Gaylord Palms Resort »
Kissimmee, FL – The “coolest” holiday Orlando attraction is returning to Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. ICE! Gaylord Hotels’ signature attraction will transport guests through an enchanted indoor world of two million pounds of hand-carved ice November 20 – January 2, 2011.

Returning for its eight season, this year’s whimsical ice wonderland will reflect the theme “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” taking guests through eight dramatic holiday scenes that tell this beloved holiday story. The colorful, larger-than-life, 3-D ice sculptures of beloved storybook characters, slippery ice slides, and memorable holiday scenes will delight and dazzle guests of all ages – all in a chilly nine-degree environment.
“Not only is the artistry amazing to enjoy, but the brisk environment inside the attraction creates a winter holiday experience like no other in the Sunshine State – rosy cheeks and all!” said Johann Krieger, Senior Vice President and general manager of Gaylord Palms.
The attraction is carved by a team of 40 artisans from Harbin, China. The talented artists spend nearly an entire month in Kissimmee, Fla. creating this one-of-a-kind attraction. Harbin is best known for its annual International Ice and Snow Festival, where more than 2,000 sculptors annually carve a 100-acre walk-through Ice Park with ice taken from the Songhua River.
ICE! is one of the many highlights of Gaylord Palms’ “Best of Florida Christmas Celebration,” where guests will be dazzled daily at Luminescence, a high-energy, high-spirited modern musical journey into Christmas. Guests can also enjoy music from yesterday and today while listening to a capella style Christmas Carols in the holiday-themed 4.5 acre atrium. Shows take place daily at the resort throughout the Best of Florida Christmas Celebration.
And, while visiting Gaylord Palms guests can indulge in a Holiday Brunch with Mrs. Claus at Villa de Flora where surprise Santa visits are sure to delight children and adults of all ages. And it won’t be hard to keep the little ones occupied with a Hidden Holiday Treasure Hunt across Gaylord Palms’ massive winter wonderland.
Resort packages are available throughout the “Best of Florida Christmas Celebration” which include “Christmas Memories” and a “Grandparent Getaway.”
