November is here and it’s the best time of year to visit one of the many annual Seafood Festivals held all over Florida. Nothing beats a steaming cup of blue ribbon winning clam chowder paired with a skewer fresh caught, grilled shrimp on a cold November day; check our list of festivals to find one in your area.

The Florida Seafood Festival Nov 6–7 – Apalachicola, FL

The 46th Annual Florida Seafood Festival is Florida Oldest Maritime Event. The Florida Seafood Festival is a two day event annually drawing thousands of visitors to the historic town of Apalachicola in scenic Franklin County .The Festival is held at the mouth of the Apalachicola River under the shady oaks of Apalachicola’s Battery Park. The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood related events, Musical Entertainment. Some of the notable events include Oyster Eating and Oyster Shucking contest, Blue Crab Races, Cooking Contest ,Parade, 5k Redfish Run and The Blessing of the Fleet. View Website »

Sebastian Clambake Lagoon Festival Nov 6-7

The Sebastian Clambake Lagoon Festival at Riverview Park celebrates Florida farm-raised clams with educational exhibits, concerts, a carnival, historical re-enactors of early area settlers in Indian River County and plenty of Florida seafood. View Website »

Stone Crab Jam Nov 7 – Crystal River, FL

The 2nd Annual Stone Crab Jam will be held from 4 pm – 11 pm on West Citrus Ave. There will be local artists and cuisine, 7 live bands, dancing in the streets, beer, wine and of course plenty of stone crab claws. View Website »

Annual Ruskin Seafood Festival Nov 7-8 – Tampa Bay, FL

The 21st Annual Ruskin Seafood Festival will be held Nov 7-8 at E.G. Simmons waterfront park right on Tampa Bay, come enjoy lobster, oysters, clams, grouper, mullet, shrimp and much more, there will be live island music and activities featuring a boat show, arts & crafts, educational displays, commercial exhibits, strolling entertainment and a kid’s area with rides, games & activities. The Seafood Festival is South Hillsborough County’s largest community event with over 18,000 in attendance in 2008. View Website »

Homosassa Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival Nov 14-15

35th Annual Homosassa Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival will be held Nov 14-15 on Mason Creek Road in the historic district of Old Homosassa. Vendors will be serving Florida shrimp, grouper, blackened mahi-mahi, seafood fritters and gator skewers. There will be over 100 crafters and 75 artists exhibiting at this juried art show with buyers coming from all over Florida. View Website »

Yankeetown Seafood Festival Nov 21-22
