Biketoberfest on Main Street
On Main Street the party will be in full swing from early Friday to late in the afternoon on Sunday here are some bars you might want to stop by:

Dirty Harry’s will be a party central with the party happening inside and out in their two courtyards and spilling out into their ‘outback’ block party type area. They are planning live music featuring the Bobby Friss Band, contests and booths set up with drink babes in bikinis, also check out their sister clubs the Full Moon and the Bank & Blues Club which will both have live bands as well. Dirty Harry’s Wet T-Shirt contest happen at 2:00, 3:30, 5:00, 6:30 and 8:00 pm each day.

Biketoberfest at Daytona International Speedway

At Daytona International Speedway, there will be many activities planned for the visiting motorcycle enthusiasts at “The World Center of Racing.” Here are some of the scheduled events:
The annual Monster Dash charity ride scheduled for 8pm Friday night Oct.16
The Sprint FANZONE will host an AMA Pro Racing Rider Autograph session from 11am-11:30am on Saturday, Oct. 17

Biketoberfest Events Outside Daytona
Other places in the area are planning events also, the most well known are Destination Daytona, The Cabbage Patch and now Jam for America.
This year’s new event, the 1st Annual Jam for America featuring The Charlie Daniels Band will happen in Edgewater, less than 15 miles south of Daytona at Exit 244. The event will take place at the Edgewater Ranch on Saturday Oct. 17, gates open at 4 pm. Chuck Wicks, who had the country hit “Stealing Cinderella” and the country group the Lost Trailers will also be performing. Several local artists will be performing before the headline performers take the stage and there will be food, drinks and a big area of free parking.
In 2005 the 109,000 sq ft Destination Daytona – Harley Davidson dealership, founded by Bruce Rossmeyer, opened and quickly became a year round destination for bikers. Destination Daytona is an excellent venue for Biketoberfest and Bike Week events. With over 150 acres of space, the location is ideal for all the things a biker would love including bikini contests, live music and beer babes all of which will be there again this year along with vendors, food and of course, the great deals on bikes.
Another popular party place south of Daytona is Sopotnick’s Cabbage Patch home of the famous coleslaw wrestling. They have events scheduled all weekend long wrapping up with the, and I love this, Survivors Party in Sunday featuring a Bloody Mary drink special. They are having bikini contests and t-back pulls, best tattoo, hot buns and banana eat contests, live music, extensive vendor booths and if you get there and don’t want to leave they offer primitive camping for $10 per person per night, kind of a “Woodstock” type feel.
About Biketoberfest
Daytona Beach’s Biketoberfest happens every October and is the little sister to the larger Bike Week that takes place in March. It may be smaller than Bike Week but Biketoberfest still draws a crowd of over 100,000 bikers and adds an estimated 5 million to the local economy.
Biketoberfest originally called “The Daytona Fall Tour”, started in 1992 as a way to attract visitors in the off season to Daytona and was intentionally modeled after Bike Week. Planned events include motorcycle shows and rallies that showcase new, vintage and custom bikes; demonstration rides on the newest machines from top manufacturers; and on-track motorcycle events at the Daytona International Speedway. Main Street, which is a major party venue with tons of bars, will be a hub of activity including live music, contests and lots of people watching opportunities not to mention all the types of bikes on parade up and down the street.
So come on in and be prepared to party Biketoberfest is roaring its way to Daytona.
